Salvatore-Calabrese

That would be close to Rs 5,00,000 per cocktail, thank you very much ! The Salvatore’s legacy, first created in 2012 by the Cocktail Maestro Salvatore Calabrese, made using ingredients dating beyond the French Revolution, will set you back a pricey £5,500 (approx Rs 5 lakh) per glass.

The maestro made the costly concoction using 40 ml of 1778 Clos de Griffier Vieux Cognac, 20ml of 1770 Kummel Liqueur, Dubb Orange Curacao circa 1860 and two dashes of Angostura Bitters circa 1900s. Combined age: 744 years.

Salvatore made ‘liquid history’ after breaking the record with the cocktail he mixed in his self-titled bar, Salvatore’s at Playboy Club, in London in 2012.
